Howard Resnick, PE, LEED® AP – President/Principal

As a North Carolina native and graduate of N.C. State University, Howard Resnik has worked in Civil Engineering and land development since 1993. His work includes residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects throughout North Carolina, California, Utah, Georgia, and Virginia in both public and private sectors. Mr. Resnik has maintained lasting professional relationships while providing safe, sound, and resourceful engineering solutions. As President and Principal Engineer of CSD Engineering, Mr. Resnik remains hands-on at each stage of every project while managing company operations. He fully understands the importance of great customer service and meeting budgets and schedules.

John Oglesby, PE, CPESC – Raleigh Branch Manager

John Oglesby has known Howard Resnik since attending N.C. State University in the early 1990’s and has just recently joined CSD Engineering to manage the Raleigh office operations. Since 1996, Mr. Oglesby has been working in the civil engineering field as a surveyor, engineering intern, lead designer, project manager, and group manager. Through years of working for large public sector firms, he specializes in designing stormwater drainage and treatment systems as well as erosion and sedimentation control plans. As a project manager, Mr. Oglesby’s strengths include working with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to facilitate approvals and buy-in for projects that require complex design and permitting solutions.

Rodney Wright – Engineering Technician

Rodney graduated from Appalachian State University with a double major in Geography and Community & Regional Planning and an emphasis in GIS. Rodney’s first job after graduating was with Jackson County, North Carolina, where he assisted in the conversion of mylar tax maps into working GIS data files, requiring constant modifications from land transfers. Rodney’s career eventually brought him to Wilmington where he worked for a private GIS mapping company converting hard copy tax maps into working digital systems for counties across the South East. Rodney started with CSD Engineering in 2005 and has been striving each day to keep our clients happy with well thought out designs.
Rodney’s 10 plus years of engineering experience has allowed him to become intimately involved in all aspects of projects, from concept to final design. Rodney is skilled at realizing the clients’ vision for the project and identifying project constraints early in the process leading to fewer interruptions during permitting and construction. Through the years Rodney has worked to develop and maintain strong working relationships with the regulatory agencies, which can make or break a project schedule.

Jeremy Martin – Engineering Technician

Jeremy attended Cape Fear Community College from 1997 to 1998 pursuing his degree in Architectural Technology and has since gained 22 years of experience working in various drafting and G.I.S. mapping software packages. Starting as a draftsman in 1998 for a Wilmington based supply company and later migrating to the GIS industry working for a regional GIS mapping company, Jeremy honed his computer assisted drafting & design skillset enabling him to enter the civil design industry. With over 10 years of civil design experience, Jeremy now specializes in the use of the various civil design-related modules that accompany Autodesk Civil 3D, the industry standard used predominantly by civil designers. Jeremy’s civil design experience includes roadways, turn lanes, super-streets, parking lots, domestic water, gravity sewer, stormwater collection, stormwater management, erosion control, landscape design, and grading. Jeremy has also mastered the use of Autoturn, a third party software which utilizes the Autodesk platform allowing designers to model turn movements and route paths of vehicles, from standard pre-programmed garbage trucks, school buses, and tractor trailers already included within the software’s library to custom made vehicle templates necessary to match the required/anticipated uses of the facility. In his tenure at CSD Engineering, Jeremy has demonstrated a strong understanding of the various aspects of civil design, a continued ability to learn new software & design tasks, and maintains an impressive report with our clients.

Mike Broyhill – Engineering Technician

With nearly 20 years of experience, Mike has been involved in almost every aspect of the site development process. He has performed NPDES site inspections and reporting, construction inspections and testing, permitting for utilities, stormwater management and erosion control, and site design and layout work with AutoCAD Civil 3D. As someone who enjoys outdoor activities, he takes compliance with Sedimentation and Erosion Control issues very seriously. Mike’s strengths are his attention to detail and organization, as well as building strong relationships with clients, municipal staff, contractors and inspectors.

Prior to joining CSD Engineering in 2007, Mike spent nine years performing GIS mapping for New Hanover County Land Records and other private firms. He was involved in the County’s transition from manually maintained mylars to digital GIS tax maps. He later helped construct those GIS databases for other county tax departments in North and South Carolina as a GIS Technician with several private firms. Before that he spent three years doing residential and commercial land surveying. Mike graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Applied Geography and a minor in Urban and Regional Planning. When he is not working, Mike enjoys spending his free time saltwater fishing and boating with his family, and playing golf.
